I actually painted this a couple years ago and just found out that we still had it. There are vines with thorns down the legs and on each rung is the word "rose" in different languages, including Tolkien Elvish and dwarven runes XD On one leg is the quote:You can despair because roses have thorns
Or you can rejoice because thorns have roses.
