A new dragon pic. I'm doing another pic to match it of European dragons and coffee. Had a lot of fun working on this one. It's on that scrapbook paper I did the Satis pic on last month. This time I was working with acrylic on it. A very different surface from my usual illustration board. The tea pot is from my roomies collection. She adores tea pots
This is one we often use for green or white teas since it's Chinese. 12x12 acrylic on scrapbook paper.

Adorable subjects, both the pot and the dragons! I look forward to the Western dragons. Your use of color here is wonderful. The way you hint at scales beyond those you've painted, the reflections of light and the shadows, the way you have soft lines around your creations in places. I want a pair of these!

Isn't parchment paper fun? I like the parchment cardstock better since it holds up to a whole lot more abuse, but it's harder to find in the large sizes. Beautiful pic BTW!

OH, I love this! I'm going to share this with my friends Tim and Helen. They're heavily into Asian culture and have a traditional tea set. Tim just loves Asian dragons, too. That reminds me, I need to finish his dragon painting.
