The 11th installment of SoE!

I sure do like the repeat shot don't I? I think it's because of my
love of strips, and they use that a lot.

Hopefully it's obvious how she used the sharp object to cut
herself free, but for those not in the know: she used the sharp
object to cut herself free. It's a multi-tool! Picking locks and
cutting ropes '_'

I'm starting to think maybe I should jump back into inking these
guys. It took me longer to throw down the basic color than it
took me to draw the danged thing. At least with inked lines the
selection tool is really quick... or you can use paint bucket and
select contiguous and all you do is click!

But I sure do enjoy the sensitivity with pencils. Admittedly, I
really like SnowKing's bondage work [link] for the same reason.
But Nomad's ink work is pretty sweet [link] .

BESIDES the point. Taking some advice I heard from the Art
and Story podcast I'm emulating Com's work from Gonzo's
Romeo and Juliet... and also some disney stuff for our turtle
friend. I like what Jerzy said about how copying can help you
explore what you like about a style, and I sure do like this style.

OH! And I totally had a breakthrough with the word baloons.
That last one is exactly what I want, more hand drawn and
manga-ish rather than the perfectly symmetrical elipses.
Sometimes those elipses are useful, but othertimes they come
across as cold and mechanical. I like a little more emotion in
my work. ^^

Eventually I want to start growing into more varied panel
compositions. I sure do keep coming back to the closeup on the
face, and the over the shoulder shot for the turtle. Maybe that's
just because of the sitch though.
