"When he wakes up, come get me." Salem ordered. "I'm going to look through my books to see if I can find out anything about these 'masquerade cirrious'." Kenneth nodded and smiled at him and with that, Salem left. Kenneth looked down at the mysterious cyrling and placed a paw on his head, feeling that he was a bit warm. Kenneth took a wet cloth and placed it on the masked cyrling's forehead, hoping that it would have the same effect as if the mask was off.

He looked around the dilapidated room and sighed, wondering if Salem was ever going to move away from this mess of a house. As much as he wanted to say something to him though, he physically couldn't, he was mute. It was honestly a little frustrating to not be able to speak, if he could, even for a day, he'd say so many things...but alas, it wasn't meant to be. He looked around the room and mindlessly scuffed the floor with his paws, which had started feeling off ever since they got to the 'house'.

He suddenly heard a chirp and turned his attention to the masked cirrious, seeing his body start to stir. Finally he was awake! He opened his eyes slightly and gazed up at Kenneth, a confused look on his face. Kenneth took the wet cloth from the cyrling's face and put it aside, but before he walked out of the room he felt the cyrling's paw on his shoulder, he turned and raised an eyebrow bean at the cyrling, who he expected to ask something along the lines of: "Where am I?". But nothing. He was confused by this, but realized what was going on when the little mask opened his mouth, all the noise that ended up coming out was the sound of air coming out of his throat.

Kenneth's face lit up, was he mute too?! Kenneth turned to face him with a smile on his face, he gestured to his throat, then to the cyrling's, but he didn't seem to understand Kenneth's gesture. After a few minuets of trying to show the cyrling, he finally gave up, gesturing for the cyrling to wait there. Of course, the cyrling didn't understand, but Kenneth left anyway.

When he came back with Salem, he made a gesture to tell him that the masked cyrling was mute too. "He's mute? well...I guess that would make sense, he did come from your mask after all." As they entered the room, they found the masked cyrling under the mattress, his curiosity leading him to explore his newfound surroundings. Salem walked over to the mattress and pulled the cyrling out with his teeth, trying to be as gentle as possible. "Alright. From now on your name is Colom." Kenneth raised an eyebrow bean, to which Salem responded, "He came from your mask, which was a colombina mask, thus, his name is Colom." Kenneth shrugged.

Thus, Salem received a new servant, Colom.
