Description
~Backstory~
After Princess Crescent Moon (Previously named "Moonlight", it's still a nickname though) and her brother Seeking Arrow escaped back to Equestria after living with their terrible father (No hate on Flash, he's just a jerk in my universe lol), the kingdom assumed The Princess and the rest of the daughters of the mane six would inherit the Elements of Harmony. However, it would be the younger siblings of the eldests: Twins Cheddar and Swiss Cheese(Sons of Pinkie Pie) had been given the elements of Kindness and Honesty. Sweet Bee (Apple Jack's daughter) was given the element of Generosity. Cumulus (Rainbow Dash's son) was given the element of Laughter. While Dream Catcher and Seeking Arrow(Twilight's son and daughter) were given the elements of Magic and Loyalty.
The first borns were all confused that the younger ponies were chosen by the tree, and Crescent Moon was alight with jealousy, as she had to always compete with her younger sister Dream Catcher, who was really just a pony made of magic created by her mother and stepmother. She found an old spell in one of the many journals of StarSwirl of breaking magical objects into pieces- while they maintained their magic. She assumed it would work for the Elements as well.
One night she gathered her friends, Sprinkle Cone, Lighting Rod, Ivory, Topsi-Turvy, and Cinnamon Apple to the Tree, and pulled the elements from it, preforming the spell and splitting the elements in half. The younger siblings rushed to the tree after their cutie marks were glowing, leading them to the tree right as the elements split. Dream Catcher quickly took six of the halves as Crescent Moon took the other. Her glowing purple magic flickered to a red color as her eyes did the same. Her friends had the same affect, their eyes turning red and their coats losing vibrancy.
The elements of Harmony had two sides, one of which was good, and the other evil. Usually the elements were used for good, and the bad side was never shown the light of Celestia's sun, but now, with the elements split, the good and evil would no longer balance each other out, and with halves in possession of the older girls, they had been taken over by the evil of their element half, embracing the opposite of the good side of their parent's element.
"Now," Crescent Moon started with a smile. "WE are the true Elements of Harmony.

Had this idea a while back and thought it would be a fun little drama plot! Might explain the element choices later if anyone asks. Critique is always welcome!
