A follow-up to the previous pic...after being absent from the Extinctioners fandom for a couple of years (pursuing my own ultimately derivative and failed project), I returned to find the GSIF a much different team than it was before. First off, it had become larger...not in that more people had joined, but in that the roster rules had been relaxed somewhat so that creators could submit more than one character, something doubtlessly done in response to waning interest for a time. The team dynamics had also changed; whereas before, the team was a sort of loosely-banded group of misfits, it was now an almost paramilitary operation strongly influenced by the X-Men movies. My ridiculously overpowered Gajin didn't fit there anymore, and, as I mentioned, I was almost embarassed to admit I created him, so I did what any creator would do in such a situation: I revamped him.
Leo became "Ronin" and, while he still had the powers I'd given him, I toned them down to the point where he was nothing more than a teleporting swordsman who healed fast (for the record, I gave him the power to heal others with his blood YEARS before Chuck Austen gave the same power to Archangel in "Uncanny X-Men"). I fully intended to become active n the GSIF again but...well, lets just say that, personally and professionally, the past few years have been difficult and leave it at that, OK?
What happened to his old codename and uniform, though? Funny you should mention that...
