Aww, this sounded like fun, but I won't be able to do it.  My phone is way too tiny, and I have yet to be interested in getting a tablet. I don't like drawing on those anyhow, way too small, and they don't work nearly as well as they make them out to. (Believe me, I've test driven several models over the years)

I agree with other people. I hope this gets a PC/Mac release as well, because there are a lot of people that don't use tablets for art, and that means there are a lot of people who won't be able to use this.

This really excludes a lot of the deviantArt community. The majority of dA draw computerized art, traditional, etc. Sometimes, I also wonder about the songwriters and basically just the writers of dA. I think they deserve some fun in challenges, as they are indeed part of the deviantArt community. Why can't they participate? Back to this.... app. Like skraww said, it's basically advertisement. Not something that everyone can do, just the small minority. :/

From the title I genuinely thought this was going to be something good, like daily drawing challenges that anyone can take part in. But no, it's just an app exclusive that no traditional artists or computer-based digital artists can participate in, just the small minority of people who draw using their phones/tablets. Let's face it, this is just one big advert for Autodesk Sketchbook isn't it? I wonder how much they paid to be featured on DeviantArt.

If anyone out there is looking for something similar to this (and better), try the Daily Spitpaint group on Facebook (www.facebook.com/groups/140256… ). Four daily 30 minute challenges, with no restrictions on what medium or software you want to use.

Yah I got really excited because I'm sort of new at art and all and thought "hey this would be great practice, and would give me a challenge" but nope, it's just for the fancy people with their handhelds. I usually use DA Muro on my computer, but I also am a designer and I'm really into traditional sketches. You know like on drawing on PAPER.
By the way I would really appreciate it if anyone would come and check me out and maybe give me some tips on my designs and art. Lol no one's commented on anything yet. I would love an experts' feedback. Again, I'm new

I have both, and I prefer Sketchbook express, I just like the layout and I've been using it for 4 or 5 years now. 

(If you're on Mac Sketchbook is free in the app store, if you're on tablet . . . I have no idea, and if you're on PC just download it on the website, it's free)

Well I've been drawing for a really long time, at first traditionally, then with a mouse (What a dark time that was) and now finally I have a tablet to draw with.

Yeah, the only time I use Autodesk sketchbook is for the special brushes it has and only after I've sketched something in Express =3=

That's nice!I use mouse for most o my drawings,but sometimes i use Sketchbook express when i'm bored or when the laptop is taken .

I'm not very good with Mouse but I looked through your gallery and your linearts look nice and smooth =3= Something I'm not to good at.

Yeah i use linework layers at Sai for lineart ^^
Don't worry there are tips and tricks to use for lineart,you see i watched a lot of tutorials to help me ^^

I'm not the biggest fan of SAI, I'd love to use it regularly but Sketchbook Express just seems better to me. 
THen I'm just gonna have to watch a lot of tutorials O u O

I swear Deviantart has the most ass backwards approach on how to please the community. This is a fantastic idea, but just comes off shitty when it excludes so many artists who don't work on their phones or tablets. This disappoints more people than it excites tbh.

OKay... I finally installed on my PC. But there is no "sketch this" icon in the menu. And again: I won't buy an expensive mobile to use this, when I have an expensive computer on my desk. So, can you optimaze this on PC...?

Downloaded this on my Kindle, which uses the Android platform ... have yet to see the daily challenges ... anyway.  I have pushed every button in the program and not found them.

Seems pretty poorly executed.  There is not one place to try and find more information, I've even tried their website.

so does this work with pressure sensibility? or maybe i'm missing the point of this.  it'd be cool to just draw on the screen of my phone, but if pressure doesn't work it's almost... whats the point.

Well, there are Android emulators. AmiDuos and Bluestacks are two you could try. Both allow access to the official app store, allowing you to legally download the Sketchbook app on it, and use it on your PC.
