Oh boy did this take me awhile but i'm so happy this is done. x-xI've wanted to draw something changeling related since they showed up at the end
of season 2 and then this happened. Great way to take my mind of this stressful as
hell week.
I absolutely love the concept of either corrupted or alternate universe versions of the
main characters in any series I watch so this was very fun to work on. c:
I had the hardest time making their colors work but, decided to use their main body
colors for the hair and I think it looks pretty nice. Overall it was a fun experiment and
I hope you guys enjoy. Also bonus angel bunny as a changeling because why not lol.

Knowing this kind of situation, Murphy's Law is in effect - too many things could go wrong and give the wrong impression necessary to incite inevitable xenophobia and backlash from the ponies, especially the Canterlot elites with considerable political power who had experienced first-hoof a Changeling invasion and no doubt would be GREATLY not supportive of the idea of the Neo-Changelings living in the middle of the country.
Not to mention that all the ponies would pretty much stay the buck away from Ponyville if they ever found out and not touch anything or anyling from that place, effectively cutting off the Neo-Changeling Hive's food supply of love.

Hunker down, keep hiding, never for a moment revealing the town's secret to the world, turn anypony who looks at you funny into another Neo-Changeling. And pray the ponies would be merciful if they ever found out.
It's the best scenario I think you Neo-Changelings could ever hope for.

These designs are fantastic - good call with the colours, and I love how you integrated the "swiss cheese holes" and other changeling elements while keeping the characters easy to recognise.
Also I may have squeaked out loud when I saw the Angel bunny because oh my god

I love this idea, I could see the corruption being maybe where they are trying to hard to please others and strive to get all the love from everyone else they can, in turn not loving and having faith in themselves, which is the force behind the change. Maybe even Twilight only has her horn changed and all her friends are fully changed, and she needs to work with a horn she isn't use to to get them back to normal?
I dunno the more I think about it I can see myself as a changling, based on how I am really, I do seek too much approval from other great people to make me feel good, and yet sometimes it never feels enough, you get one persons approval and you still need more....plus I like to shapeshift XDD but yeah Im thinking of making a changlisona...since I might be more it than a pegasus XD But if I made Sketchy a changling, she would be a changling, who lives as a pony...living with diamond dogs...its getting a little too crazy and pandering to all my favorite species from the show XDD.

I prefer having the shells/midsection being the color of the character's coat and the mane/tail being their actual mane/tail, but each to their own style.

*his eyes glaze over, as he stands up from the computer and opens the curtain, as the flames of a billion soul's bun in the distance, mad Laughter rigging in his ears.*
"the time of ending is here." he murmur's, and places the piston slowly into his mouth, hands shacking, as he closes his eyes for the last time.

A sudden noise to his left causes him to pause.
fearing that SHE had come for him, he slowly turned.
Though instead of a bloodthirsty maniacal Changeling, his eyes met with those of a certain pink party pony.
she took the weapon from his hand and chucked it out the window, only to then pull out a candy-cane styled gun blade.
"For Equestria, and free cupcakes everywhere!" she cried happily, and with a fit of giggles, launched herself out the window.

and so, atop the flaming cupcake of doom, made from both the most Delicious frosting, as well as the blood of a thousand innocents, the two side of the same coin dueled, one representing the Laughter of a warm summers day, the other the manic giggles of or a soul pushed too far...
the brighter pony wielded no weapon, while her dark counterpart's arms changed each second, a knife, a chainsaw, a automatic cupcake launcher. but each time, as the dark parody closed for the kill, the free spirit would vanish, and reappear a few moments later. however, slowly the element of Laughter began to tire, slowing down, blows missing my inches, as opposed to seconds. finally, she lay on the floor, her mane deflated, taking one last look at the death of her land. then suddenly, in another world, a few key's were pressed on a computer, a thank you of a soul saved from death. pinkie felt a charge appear inside, he mane exploding outwards, her dark copy backing off as she stood up.
"enough chit chat, time to pandy!" the pinke earth pony grinned. and the swung the most powerful weapon in the known multiverse towards her mirror. "say hello to my party cannon."

Anger and rage filled the changelings body. How DARE that pink fool oppose her rule?!
and as she glared at the pink ray of love and her weapon, staring straight into her inferred doom, a madness unlike any other took hold.
She shot forward and slamed the front of the canon to the ground, causing the surface of the cupcake to crumble.
they fell into the cavernous insides. pinkie landed hard next to the mound of debris in the center, and quickly shot to her feet, scanning the room for the "meanie"
then from the bottom of the mound came a dark, armored hove with several holes punched through it, and another shortly followed.
pinkie gasped in shock as the head broke out of the mound. It's eye's had changed from pink to a blood red, with purple wisps coming off them. her mouth had the biggest, satanical smile with one fang (the left) missing, leaving the rest blood stained.
"the party isn't over yet!" The changeling cackled. She charged up he twisted horn and let loose a wave of Dark Magic...

The black fog of the changing slammed into pinkie, pinning her up against the wall of the cavern. slowly, tendrils snaked up from the floor, wrapping around the pink pony's arm's and legs, pinning he. the changing stalked closer, slowly sniffing the air, tasting pinkies sent. her long tongue ran up the side of her neck, as creature prepared to suck the life force from her prey. pinkies struggles slowed, as her resolve drained from her, her very essence being removed.
"hey, leave her alone!" a voice called out through the gloom, causing pinkies copy to turn her head. out of the darkness stalked five figures, five pony's, rage in their eyes.
"I said, leave. her alone." the blueish one called, before leaping forward to save her friend. she suddenly stopped in mid air, struggling for a second, before conceding to the orange mare gripping her tail by her teeth.
"girls>>>" pinkie murmurered weakly, "not..not safe, she'll kill you..."
"pinkiema, you are charged with treason, ,murder and expecting the Spanish inquisition. how do you plead?" called out the purple one.
the monster just bared her teeth and hissed.
"so be it." replied the leader, before nodding to the other pony's. one by one, their forms were bathed in green fire, reviling five changing's.
'they look just like my friends, except all... buggy.' thought pinkie for a moment, before her rasping giggles were cut off by her attackers magic.
"then in the name of queen chrysalis, and by the grace of the hive, I sentence you to death by battle." and with that, the doppelgangers charged.
