Tumblr post: heilos.tumblr.com/post/1254693…Boy it's been a long time since I've drawn Harmony myself other then getting commissions of her. Two very recent commissions really had me thinking about updating her design since I really enjoyed the way she was portrayed. So I tweaked some things a bit and i'm much happier with the result. I'm not sure if i'm keeping her hair jewelry or not. Might just make it an optional thing to draw since it's kind of a small detail and sometimes is a pain to remember to draw lol. Just to be clear, she is a ponified Tree of Harmony for anyone who is wondering.
Top left: A full front view of her Elements of Harmony crown, I wanted a clear ref for it lol. Same for her cutie mark.
Far left: Full body design tweak for Harmony, i'm really happy with how she turned out.
Top middle: A small doodle of her alternate smaller form, being all cute and stuff :V
Middle bottom: This is something I imagine might happen after Twilight meats Harmony for the first time, tiring herself out with a million questions for Harmony and thus nap time. I just wanted a reason to draw cute ponies being cute. c:
Top right: I had a few people ask me what Harmony would act like interacting with Discord. Let's just say the first time they meet when Harmony becomes a giant unicorn is not very pleasant at first. It's one of the few times Harmony ever gets angry/upset since she very much remembers the whole plunder vine incident thanks to Discord. This is reformed Discord after the Tirek incident just to clarify.

Well i'm still working out parts of her personality so I can't go too in depth there, but she's a ponified version of the Tree of Harmony.

She looks really good. The first thing I thought when I saw her however was "this is Twilight's mom." Or something. Maybe the cutie mark or the colors or just the fact that they're cuddled together.
But now that I've read that she is the ponified version of the Tree of Harmony I totally get it lol. I'm in love with her tail and the flowers in her hair, it makes her look amazing and really elegant. I'd imagine she would be really motherly and mature. Sort of like Princess Celestia might act.

Nah, I´ll stick to my original headcanon. She´s the daughter of Discord and Concord, the God of Order. After her creation, both Harmony and Discord were banished to the physical world of Equestria because Discord had had the idea to make her and Harmony was too dangerous or the integrity of the god´s society

To be fair, what Harmony did to Discord was actually a lot worse than one day of being strangled by plunder vines. He almost killed her, but she inflicted a fate worse than death on him -- being trapped conscious in stone for over a thousand years has to be much worse than being strangled for a day.
But then, Discord had it coming and Harmony only gave her agents the power to do what they had to do; he wouldn't have been turned to stone if he hadn't been such a selfish, sociopathic asshole. So I can see that from her perspective, what he did to her was wholly undeserved -- particularly since by the time it actually happened, he was supposedly reformed and could have done more to help her.
