Description
E family of 0-5-0 engines was designed for cargo transportation and produced in several modifications (E, Eg, Esh, Eu, Em, Er) between 1912 and 1957, about 11000 machines were released. The loco weighs about 85 tons, develops a speed of 65 km p.h. and pulls about 19000 kg p. sec.They were among the most popular engines in Soviet Union and operated up to 1980th in some regions.
At present, 2 engines of Eu series can be found in Moscow and St.Petersburg in working order.
