And so, I tackle the last game on the list of Final Fantasy games that I have played: Final Fantasy Tactics (more specifically, War of the Lions, the PSP version).With crazy units, job systems, doubles of female characters and the Second Coming of the Blue Mage, FFTactics is definitely one of my favorites... even though I've not played a lot of Final Fantasy spin-offs (aside from Crisis Core, I think I can only count Dissidia, because Kingdom Hearts is its own thing).

Yeah a lot of named plot characters do become useless even with their special jobs. You're gonna have a team by the time you get to that character anyways. rafa and malak are the worst characters to fight with, yes have a spell that is weak and will sometimes if you are lucky hit once.

Well, it is true, Ramza's job and the Squire are the only ones that can Blue Mage it up, in order to learn Ultima.
Unfortunately, SquiresΒ doooooo kind of have really low stats, and considering you have limited, story-based oportunities to learn Ultima, it generally doesn't pay off.

Not entirely true. The level 4 Black and White spells can be learned Blue Mage style and so can the ultimate summon spell. I forget if there's more.
