the colours you used for the lanterns give the picture a real sense of warmth and nostalgia to it. your choice of colours for the background, as well as the spirits (really, just your overall selection of colour for the piece) give it a very calm and tranquil feeling like one might expect to get when listening to the style of instrument the girl's playing. the swirl effect adds a nice touch to the picture, too, almost making it seem/feel/look like smoke rising from the lanterns. amazingly beautiful piece, man.
