Whenever you yell,Whenever I cry,
I die a little inside.
I’m trying to stop the pain,
I’m trying to heal inside,
Because I don’t want to cry anymore.
Let me make my own mistakes,
Let me live my own life,
Let me see the world through my own eyes.
I’m sorry I’m not perfect,
I never will by your standards,
Why can’t you see that?
The way you treat me,
The way you yell,
They all make me want to scream.
To scream loud and long,
So I know you’ll hear;
I hate you.
I want to run away,
To pack my bags and walk out that door,
Never to return.
I know I’d find someplace to stay,
Someone to love,
My own life to live.
Maybe then you’d realize,
I need a little more respect,
That I need you to care a little more.
But, until I do that,
I’ll silently sit here,
And take all of your crap.
I hope you’re happy now.
