what can i say? i tried going with something original.
a golem is something pretty defensive to begin with but hes pretty much naked. so, i went with his evolution being him gaining an actual armor.

Her sidequest span pretty much the entire length of the game. Necria can find Necro stones which, when brought to a necromancy altar (one use only so no backtracking), allows her to transform into the next rank of undead.
Her First Treasure she start with is a fragment of a necro stone and she has to find the rest in the course of the game.
the last necromancy altar to go to (obligatory) is located in the capitol of the dead, a sort of peaceful (really!) underground undead city that is under the protection of Death himself.
There, she'll learn that the last Rank of undead is special because it is the rank of King of the Dead (or queen) and there can be only one at a time so she has to challenge the current king to a 1 on 1 boss battle to earn the rank. the final rank is also her final appearance as pictured.
on a side note, Death is a pretty fun guy, a bit like an actual harlequin.

His sidequest involve going to the felidae city to train further in martial arts. note that the city will have a fun mix of Scottish and chinese styles.
There, he'll learn from the old master of martial arts that his successor as martial art master will have to be the strongest. for that, there is a yearly martial arts tournament where the one to come out winner will be the chosen one. for that purpose, he chose the strongest Claw style user (dierro) and the strongest Fang style user (the rival in that quest) to face each other to determine who will have the chance to face him, the old master in combat.
A detail is that the old master does not have a favor treatment in the tournament and has to climb the ladder like all the other fighters.
thats where a twist comes in.
you see, the tournament is technically open to all hand-to-hand combatants and not just martial arts but the felidae take it for granted.
the plan was to have the Claw and Fang to fight each other and then face the old master in the finale since hes so much stronger than anyone.
EXcept the old master got defeated while climbing the tournament ladder.
and by the most unlikely of opponents.
you see, since the tournament is open to all hand-to hand fighters, the canidae clan sent ONE fighter, a doberman, a BOXER. Think of the thing as the american boxer media sensation.
now, the felidaes pretty much just laughed at them for thinking he even had a chance in THEIR tournament. so when the boxer defeated the old master, it was a shock to all of them.
the reason that the old master lost was not just because the boxer is a strong opponent but rather because the old master is, well, old, and has a very hard time adapting himself against an unknown fighting style.
he lost because he refused to change and adapt his way of fighting, acting like he was fighting another felidae martial artist.
the last battle of the tournament is Dierro vs the boxer.
After his victory, dierro receive new battle skills since he defeated the one who defeated the old master.
