I don't like how large his hands and legs are. The background looks really good though.

I think the perspective works in the background, and in the foreground, but they don't line up together. The buildings in the background are just leaning too far over compared to the greatly lesser distortion on Spidey's building. If the corner stones of the front building were in more extreme perspective (you know, really big at the bottom), it might be enough to pull it off. They look great, they just don't match. Spidey, though--he looks awesome. I'm loving the shadows and how they bleed up to his eyes. I really like how you did his arms, too; they look weird, but absolutely perfect for Spider-Man. I love the way his costume bunches up. The colors, of course, are absolutely amazing. Just beautiful, especially the highlights and how soft the brightness is. Great picture, I can totally see this as next issue's cover!
And, is that MJ on the billboard? Nice.

and they're all totally wrong the perspective works really well, its as if the buildings are chasing spidey inwards or like its a fish eye lens or somthin

Haha! What can I say? I'd been to Manhattan for the first time not too long before doing this piece, and while I was there I saw alot of US flags.

Nice one there, Spider-Man is one of the best comic characters out there, although Spawn rules a lot.

Haha! Thanks man! Aye, I was channelin' some Ramos on this 'ne, for sure. Ramos is, by far, my favorite comic book artist of all time - so stylish, not just in his character art but in his story-telling, too. And totally professional - of the original Cliffhanger 3, he was the only one that could keep it together and meet deadlines. I hear he's great with his fans, and he's practically inspired a whole "School of Ramos" in artists that either emulate or are heavilly influenced by him.
Anyhow. I loved his Spidey - to me, that IS Spidey. That's how Spider-Man should look. So though I think Ramos has had a huge influence on me overall, that influence shows itself most whenever I tackle the web-slinger m'self.

damn right m8. he's kickass, and one of my favorite comic artists out there. it's too bad that marvel doesn't give him as much books as he should have, but that's all the better, he'll be doing wolverine's arc in civil war! btw, if you appear in comics, that'd be great for me to check out any books you've worked in.
much mad propz m8!

Haha! Oh man, I wasn't sure I was gonna' dig Ramos on Wolvy or not. It looked too dark and inky heavy - and dark is what a Wolverine solo book should be, so that Ramos has the range to be able to do that too is a testament to his talent. But at the same time, all the things I love about Ramos in his style and story-telling seem drowned out by the amount of ink on the page. (But 'ell, I'll buy it anyway. Never liked the Wolverine book, but with Ramos attached - I'm so there. XD)
Thanks man! I'm as yet unpublished, strictly indie - though if things go as planned I'll be joining the Archie Comics team as a back-up penciller on Sonic the Hedgehog by year's end, or possibly another colorist on their roster. Fingers crossed. ^^

lol dude, just keep me posted on that stuff, and i'll be +devwatchin you. it's hard finding ppl who actually appreciate comics for things other than the characters themselves. for one I think ramos' has way too little credit for what he deserves, right now i'm checking out becky cloonan (stabstabstab) and the DMZ series which is also hot. you should check em out, cause other than civil war, vertigo seems to be the only marvel property that's really alive and kickin arse. runaways is good too, but i dunno when the hell is the next issue coming out.
