My contribution towards the/any Goonies 30th Anniversary tribute art celebrations.

2015 isn’t just a number bigger than Chunk’s top score on Pole Position - it also marks the 3 decade anniversary of a continually loved classic.

The Goonies is a movie I will always be fond of. I figured if there was ever going to be a spin-off as opposed to false hope of a sequel and a scrapped animated series, a comic series or some sort starring the wonderful kinship of Sloth and Chunk would suffice. Hence the title – “Sloth & Chunk Adventures!”.
The novelisation of the film had an extra scene or at least a mention of Chunk’s family throwing Sloth his first Bar Mitzvah. It’s a very touching moment in the movie where Chunk tells the 3rd Fratelli brother that he’s going to live with him now. It has always been a curiosity to wonder how those two would have gotten along growing up together. Much better than being chained up in a restaurant basement with an old TV and Daddy Longlegs for company.

Complete with the ideas of Sloth stuffing Troy in a freezer, Chunk sharing his Baby Ruth stash and these ‘rejects’ getting into all sorts of trouble I think a Sloth/Chunk spinoff would have gone down well. Hope you enjoy my vision of what could or should have been. #neversaydie
