Description “What do you mean can’t?.....YOU FOOL! THIS ISN’T ABOUT FOOLING AROUND AND PLAYING GAMES! IT’S ABOUT SAVING THE WORLD! THE ONE THAT WE LIVE IN?!” Arthur barked at the phone in hand; shaking the telephone booth with irritation.

You waited patiently outside and watched the oncoming traffickers pass by with questioning expressions. You couldn’t help but think that Lukas was right about Arthur being the mad hatter. He was certainly mad. All the time, in fact. There didn’t seem like there was a single moment where he had been happy in his entire life. Then again, you didn’t know that much about him or his world. Anytime you asked, your curiosity would be shot down with a glare.

You shifted in your spot as his insults grew louder in the booth. You did yourself and the neighborhood a favor by closing the booth door. He glared at you out of the corner of his eye; his temper smoldering. You casted a look of disappointment and shook your head as you crossed your arms. With a turn of your heel you began to walk down the street and out of sight.

You were finished with this mess. You wanted to help, especially since this was fated to affect your world as well as his, but he was such a hot-headed prick at times. You’ve never felt your blood pressure rise so sharply in your entire life until encountering him. You could hear him struggling to get out of the booth and call for you, but you decided that this was his punishment for not treating you with respect.

Your heels clicked along the old, brick road sharply with irritation. Your cheeks puffed and you brows drew together in a pout. You hoped that he would get trapped in their until he learned to be friendlier. With you eyes locked shut and your nose turned up, you ignored his calls and took your own path.

The book was pressed tightly to your chest in your crossed arms. If only you hadn’t gotten caught up in Mr. Livingstons encouraging speech, you wouldn’t have taken this book and your life would be ten times less complicated than it was now. You were so upset with yourself. You’ve never done anything you were uncomfortable with. But you took this book and this quest. You could have easily turned your back on it all. You could’ve give him the damn book and broke your silly little promise with Mr. Livingston and wrote in a different book. You knew you couldn’t really write a book in a book anyways. it has to be printed out and edited on a computer and everything. The whole thing was stupid in general.

You lifted the book and felt compelled to toss it; your eyes shooting open and you angry spewing out like a rapid river. The dramatic change in scenery hit you like a bag of bricks. Tall, thick trees that gather to make a forest, muted green grass that wrapped around your shoes, the heavy grey clouds that hung above your head in the sky. When and how did you wind up here?

You turned around to find the city nowhere in sight. You were certain that you hadn’t strayed that far from town. There wasn’t a hint of civilization anywhere. You felt dread crawl up your throat and start to choke you. You gulped heavily in attempt to force the feeling back down and hoped you’d find you way out of this mess. But you had a sneaking suspicion that this was only the beginning of a long journey for you.

You turned around and found a young looking boy picking at something on ground. They were dressed in heavy emerald robes that hide their figure of any curves or creases. In the midst of your confusion, you took a step forward and caught your voice.

“H-Hey..” You called out timidly; trying to sound as friendly as possible.

Catching their attention, they turned their head and locked eyes with you. You felt your blood run cold in your veins and your entire body froze. This...thing...was not what it seemed. From behind they seemed like a harmless youngster who was scavenging around in the dirt like children do. But it’s face...if you could even call it that... It’s skin looked as hard and scratchy as rotting tree bark. It had the snout of a beastly wolf and the rows of teeth seemed never ending. The black gums were completely visible up to the nostril bone and it’s long, luminous green tongue flicked across it’s rotting teeth and all the way up to one side of it's eye balls as it dripped of ink colored saliva. Four pairs of pupil-less ruby red eyes flicked as it scanned your frozen figure.

Your breath grew shallow and your heart was thumping loudly in your ears. Your mind told you to run but your body forced you to stay frozen. The beasts long, trunk like arms extended from the robe and extended out in your direction. It’s talons stretched across the ground and dug into the earth. It hissed it’s hot breath into the cool air and approached you slowly. It had the build of a massive german shepherd, a monster, and humanoid mix. The closer it got, the more your mind screamed at you to run far, far away.

It crept right up to you slowly; it’s body slumping and rising with each step. It was overwhelmingly strong looking. You knew you couldn’t out run in it. All you could do was hope that it was going to either get bored of you or, if worse comes to worse, kill you quick and painless. You held your breath as you felt the hot breath of the beast brush back your hair like a strong breeze. Your stomach twisted disgustingly at the stench of death the leaked from it mouth. It’s eyes flicked up and down at your figure as it slowly bared it’s teeth.

This was it. You were going to die. Your skin was going to be peeled off like a banana.
Your guts were going to become ribbon decoration for the trees. Your blood was going to paint the thick forest green a crimson red. Your soul was going to be devoured and gobbled up by this monster.

No.......NO. This couldn't happen! Not like this! You couldn't go down! Not with out a fight!

Your feet dug into the ground and you tossed your fists to the side. You squeezed your eyes shut tightly as you gave your deepest, loudest, gravely scream that you could. At the exact same time it let out the most high pitched, blood curdling screech you had ever heard; definitely damaging your eardrums. Your lungs somehow managed to outlast the monster. It jolted sharply and it’s eyes widened with shock. It’s feet tried to find grounding but it kept on tripping over it’s own feet. It finally took off and you didn’t stop screaming until it was out of sight. You were red in the face from the lack of air. When you finally inhaled, your breath shuddered and you had uneven hiccups. Your whole body shook wildly from the adrenaline and you felt extremely light headed.

“....Arthur..” You called out quietly as you felt your knees buckle and every grow dark. As your eyes closed there was a flash a light that flickered across the sky and there was a horrible scream that rang in your ears just before you fell into the mossy earth and blacked out.

~~~
“Grrrrgh….when I get my hands on that damn girl, I swear I’m going to rip the damn from her arms and send her back to her own world.” Arthur cursed under his breath as his eyes scanned the streets for any sign of you. “I was a damn fool for taking pity on her.”
“You’re right. You should’ve killed her like you were supposed to.” A sly voice cooed from across the street.
Arthur knew that disgusting tone of voice anywhere. He didn’t hesitate to shot a glare at the gorgeous looking man across from him. It was none other than Francis Bonnefoy. The damned sly fox slunk his way in the streets without Arthur even feeling his presence.
“I see you’re magic has advanced. Or maybe you’ve only gotten good at hiding.” Arthur spat out with a coking smirk; crossing his arms and standing proudly.
“Oh, Arthur, you wound me.” He gasped as he dramatically as he griped at his chest as if he were in true heartache. “You’re as cold as ever.”
Arthur scoffed. “Like you’d like it any different, you damn masochist.”
Francis pressed a finger to his own lips and winked, “Nnngh~ you know me too well~”
Arthur rolled his eyes and turned his heel to continue his search for you when he walked straight into a figure. His eyes widened when he realized it was Francis.
“When in the hell did you get that fast?!” Arthur yelped and took a defensive stance.
“Hmph. It’s been awhile since we’ve last seen each other, Arthur. I’ve gotten a lot better at other things as well~” He slid a finger under the Brits chin; his half-lidded eyes heavy with lust. Arthur could feel the blush rushing to his cheeks at the indecent offer. He gritted his teeth in slapped the grabbing hand away from his face.
Arthur didn’t hesitate to throw a surprise punch at Francis. The blonde hissed in pain and stumbled to the side. Arthur took this opening as a chance to make a quick get away; taking off in a quick sprint.
“Heh, nice try you filthy incubus! But you’ll never get a piece of this!” Arthur teased as he ran down the street and didn’t bother looking back a second time.
Francis rose to his feet slowly; his hair covering his eyes ominously. He smirked and a small chuckled slipped past his bleeding lips. The chuckle slowly grew louder into hearty laughter as he clenched his fist. His eyes shot up dramatically and locked onto Arthur's figure; the crystal blue swimming with determination.
“Heh….now I’m excited.” He hummed happily as his sharp tongue swept the blood clean from his lips.
