Description
“(Y/n)!” You were awoken by Natalya, who had obviously just gotten up from bed, and quickly dragged you out of your own.“Natalya, what’s going on!?” She threw a jacket and a pair of sweatpants at you and said,
“Meet me in Katya’s room in 2 minutes.” and ran off.
“2 minutes!?”
Once in Katya’s room, you looked like crap, but to be fair so did Natalya. Her hair was in a very messy bun, she was in pink tights and an oversized sweatshirt. And her eyes were wide with, paranoia? It was very unusual for her not to have perfectly straight locks, -not a stray hair in sight- a light pink dress or skirt (never pants), and/or a matching accessory.
“What’s up?” You asked, and Katya stood, looking flawless after a night out, and removed her cigarette from her mouth. She exhaled and gave you a look that said, “Prepare for some shitty ass news.” Fear began to fill your chest, was it the Axis? You silently prayed that Andres wasn’t in trouble.
“The Axis got wind of what happened with you and Andres. They’re pissed.” The fear reached the brink and flooded your entire body. You stiffened and your eyes widened.
“H-How did they find out? Why are they mad? Wh-What did we do wrong!?” You were hyperventilating and Natalya had to help you sit down onto Katya’s bed. Probably not the best decision considering her, but that wasn’t what you were focusing on.
“You know what Andres did to find you, right?” Katya asked,
“Well, h-he said that he’d sold some things, l-like land and stuff.”
“Yeah, no. He cost the Axis, big time. He stopped paying attention to his work, his men started to lose respect and fear in him. All he would do is look for you and try to find ways to contact you. At one point, he caused the Axis a huge loss by forgetting some gloves with his prints at a drop off and they lost almost 5% of their men. He even snitched to some of the Allies, causing the Axis to lose even more. At one point they were going to disband, but then, Andres found you and disappeared. When he left the police had no leads anymore and the Axis were able to ‘convince’ their men that they were still a powerful organization. But they’ve found him. I don't know who told them, but my friend, Julia, said that they have him.”
To be honest, a small part of you was slightly happy that he really did work hard to find you, but obviously the bigger picture was that Andres made stupid mistakes doing it. Now you had to save him.
“Okay. I have to get him back.” You took a deep breath and stood up confidently.
“But I'm going to need help.”
“Viktor? Are you here?” OK, maybe going to one of the largest heads of the Allies wasn't the best idea. But, you trust Viktor, and deep, deep deep down, he cares for you.
“(Y/n). It's late for you. Go back to bed.” He didn't even look up from his paperwork. You approached his desk anyways, and he looked up at you with annoyance.
“What.” It wasn't a question, more of an order to make a statement.
“I need your help. And you're not going to like doing it.” Viktor sighed, he knew that he wouldn't like it as soon as you walked in.
“What do you need.”
“I need to save Andres. The Axis has him and you and the Allies are the only ones who can help.” The fountain pen in his hand snapped. Ink started flowing down his gloves and jacket. But he didn't care about that.
“Excuse me?” You gulped, he actually asked a question. You shakily inhaled and answered as he removed his glove and jacket, revealing his powerful form that could easily snap you in two.
“I need you to come with me to the Axis Keep, and save Andres.” You knew how Viktor felt about Andres. But, you also knew that he would do anything to discover the location of the Keep. The Keep consisted of 4 storage units in New York, close to the Jersey border, where they kept prisoners. Every now and then they would rent out a new unit if they needed to keep someone alive, but generally they used them as an easy elimination method as well. Tell the other angry, starving prisoners that the new guy was the reason they were there and see what happens. A lot of the Allies had been lost there. And Viktor knew it.
After a short staring contest between the two of you, he sighed in defeat.
“Fine. Get into my van and I'll go get some reinforcements.”
Once at the Keep, you were instructed by Viktor to stay seated in the car. Obviously, you couldn’t follow through with that and waited for him to speak with Al and Matthew and then you left.
You entered through the back, where some of the Axis was sitting guard. You recognized Lovi, but it was weird to see him without Luciano by his side. You decided to test your luck and approached him.
“Hey, Lovi.” He looked up from his phone and grinned when he saw you.
“(Y/n)! It's been forever! How’ve you-” he stopped, remember the fact that you’d cost him and his brother.
“Good to see you, too.” He smiled sadly at you, and you could tell that his arms were aching to hug you from his trembling.
“I can’t let you come in, you know.” He said, and he looked down with his smile dimming.
“But I’m here for Andres.” He immediately looked up at you, his eyes were wide. “R-Really?” You were shocked, you had no idea that he had no idea.
“You-You know where he is?” He was shaking now. You knew that he had an extreme soft spot for Andres, considering that the two of them lived together for a time when Feliciano got snitched on a few years ago.
“I-I think so. Julia told me.”
“He’s here? He’s here… Inside the Keep… And I didn’t know.” Lovino growled and turned to the door, and ripped it open. “Let’s go.”
You’d always get lost in the Keep, -considering the fact that you’d been there once- it was still a storage unit. It was gross, too. There would always be a dead bird or squirrel in each aisle and it smelled like every other unit was keeping dead bodies. Finally, after what seemed like hours of searching, Lovino stopped at a unit and took out a small key and plugged it into the lock at the bottom of the door. He then released the key and threw the door open. In it, was Andres. He was on the ground, unconscious and had blood all over his face, clothes and body. You ran to him and picked him up, cradling his head.
“Andres, Andres.” You then put his chest to your ear and you sighed in relief, hearing the slow beat.
“Alright, let’s get going, they’re gonna notice that I’m-”
“Lovino. (Y/n).” We both turned simultaneously to the entrance of the unit. Luciano, Lutz and Kuro were all standing there. You stood up, knees weak, and glared at Luciano.
“Luciano. I’m h-here to take Andres home.” He smiled, and took a step closer to you.
“(Y/n), I love you, you know that, right? You’re practically family to me. But, I wouldn’t betray EVERYTHING I WORKED FOR just because of you.” You flinched a bit when he began shouting. Alas, you stood your ground.
“It’s not my fault that one of your men chose something over your gang. Now, I honestly don’t care about what you have to say to or about me, but I am here for Andres.” Luciano seemed almost taken aback by your confidence, but that was quickly replaced with anger.
“Lutz, get my brother out of here. Kuro, get Andres out. You’re allowed to use force in removing la cagna here.” You weren’t stupid, you knew that if you continued, Kuro would indeed use an unnecessary amount of force against you, given the opportunity. You stepped aside and watched painfully as he easily picked up Andres and threw him over his shoulder, walking out. You turned your attention to Luciano, and as soon as you did, his fist came into contact with your face. You cried out in pain and clutched your cheek. He then kicked you in your stomach, causing you to fall back and knock the wind out of you. You gasped and tried to get up, but his boot met your face moments later. It all happened so fast, that you weren’t able to cry. This changed obviously when he paused to begin his monologue.
“I built this empire from the ground up. I sacrificed my money, my friends and I only worked for my family and myself. Then one day, one little girl destroys it all.” You listened as you continued gasping and silent tears rolled down your face.
“Can you believe that? Because I certainly can't. Haha.” You looked up and saw his throwing knives in his hand. He was admiring one of them in the light. Your eyes grew wide and you started to move backwards on your hands and butt.
“N-No… Pl-Please don't do this.” He laughed and simply grabbed you by the ankle and took one his knife to your skin. He didn’t hesitate, he went for the Peroneal Artery in your calf, digging it in as fast as possible.
“NO! PLEASE! STOP!” You got a boost of adrenaline and kicked him frantically with your other leg. It didn’t phase him and he continued his mutilation. The pain was insane and you were starting to see white spots. All of a sudden, the pain shortened immensely and your leg was dropped to the ground. Your groaned and looked up weakly to see Andres’ hands around Luciano’s neck and head. He could easily snap his neck even with Luciano’s struggling.
“Luciano. Did you do this?” He asked, you could hear his voice dripping with anger.
“Don’t worry, I was never going to kill her. Maybe take off a limb or two-Ay!” Andres had stomped on his foot.
“I was going to let her go after that. Just needed to teach you a lesson.” Andres kicked him in the lower back and pressed down with his foot onto Luciano’s center of gravity, preventing him from moving.
“Hey! You cost me way more than just one whore!” Andres then slammed his foot down on his elbow and you could hear the sickening crack of the bone snapping.
“You think that you can just hurt my woman without any consequences?” He then proceeded to take one of Luciano’s knives and thrust it into his other arm. You honestly couldn’t watch any longer. Andres would always try to protect you from seeing his work, so actually witnessing was kind of traumatizing.
“I’ll let you off with this for now. I’m taking back (Y/n) and I’ll leave you with your new friends.” What’d he mean by that? You thought drearily as you felt his strong arms pick you up, but you moaned in pain when your leg was lifted up. Andres looked at you with a pained look but kept moving.
“Don’t worry, mi esposa. It’ll be alright. It’ll be just fine.” That was the last thing you heard before you passed out.
“(Y/n)! You’re awake!” You laughed as Natalya ran and hugged you, carefully avoiding your leg.
“It’s good to see you, too!” Katya walked in as well, shooting a glare at Andres.
“How are you feeling?” She asked with genuine concern.
“The doctors said the surgery went the best it could’ve gone!” You replied,
“Well we did tell them that if it didn’t we’d get rid of their families.” Viktor was standing at the doorway.
“Y’know, most people don’t do well under pressure. You could’ve gotten me killed!” You joked and he uncomfortably stalked towards you, his eyes not leaving Andres.
“I’m right here, if you have anything to say. By the way.” Andres commented.
“You’re right, we should leave them be. She did just wake up after all. I bet they haven’t snuggled at all!” Natalya giggled and took Katya and Viktor by the arm and out the door. You laughed at her antics and looked at Andres who was already at your side.
“Is there anything I can get for you? Water? Or…?”
“No. You’re not allowed to move from my side, do you understand?” He was slightly surprised by your demeanor, but smiled. His smile was always a great sight to see.
“Of course, my love.” He leaned down to kiss you when the door opened.
“(Y/n)! You’re alright!” You turned to the door and Al was there, without his bat, and he was rushing towards you.
“I was so worried when I heard about what happened, you’re going to be fine, right?” You smiled sadly and said,
“I’ll be fine, don’t worry. But, there’s something I have to tell you. This is-” You began to motion towards Andres but he interrupted you.
“I am her fiancé, Andres.” Wait, fiancé? But he wasn’t finished.
“If you even look at her, I will remove your fingers and serve them to my dogs.” Al growled, but he respectfully left after wishing you a “Good luck with that one.”
“Now, where were we?” Andres whispered seductively.
“You were explaining to me when we got engaged. If I was drunk from the anesthesia, that doesn’t count.” Andres turned red and put his hand in his pocket. Your breath caught in your throat and you could hear the heart monitor speed up as he got onto one knee.
“Um… (Y/n). I,” You interrupted him to say,
“Wait! Let me sit up to see it properly.” He chuckled awkwardly and waited a few moments for you to reposition.
“OK, go.”
“Alright, (Y/n). I have loved you all my life, as soon as I was born I knew who I would love. It was you. Because of recent events, I realized that my time with you is limited. In the time that we do have, I want to spend it with you. No matter what. I know we’ll go through things like this in the future, but we’ll be together. That’s all that matters. So, (Y/n), mi mariposa, will you marry me?”
