Description Keynlafey is a Daz 3D rendered character using the character base form of Friday. This particular pose I like quite a bit and will probably grace the cover of my upcoming D&D supplement, Keynlafey's Expeditions: A Traveler's Meeting with Three Martial Archetypes.

Keynlafey is a maroth – a race of people once human that have been infused with celestial energy from a solar named Maroth holds the molten core of the planet together to keep it from fragmenting apart. Referred to on their homeworld as Maroth’s Children, these people have a gift for traveling and a curisouisty of new things: places, people, culture, magic, or what have you. Essentially ageless, the maroth travel great distances to constantly experience these things from multiple points of view. As a maroth ages, their traveling powers grow, enabling them to even travel to other planes of existence through concentration.
In particular, Keynlafey is the first daughter of Lirieqeus, one of the first humans to be affected by the celestial energies and experience the change. She constantly got into trouble as a child, taking curiosity to a whole new level. Lirieqeus had no doubts that Keynlafey would get herself into a situation where she would need martial skill and saw to it that she received instruction. She took to it like a fish to water and her curiosity consumed her. She would spend hours each day studying warfare and practicing the martial arts. For many years she poured her heart and soul into becoming the best warrior she could.
When Uldeth, a young maroth who was romantically interested in her, surprised her during sword practice, she instinctively struck with her sword. The wound would have been fatal to a mortal, but maroth are made of sterner stuff. Uldeth would survive, but with a terrible scar in his abdomen and a simmering anger at Keynlafey. Keynlafey was horrified that she had almost killed someone she considered a friend, and quickly lost interest in her martial pursuits. Centuries later, she has retained her martial skills, but rarely seeks to hone them, as these combined with her celestial nature make her more than a match for most foes.
Despite the setback Keynlafey’s penchant throwing herself into a new pursuit and learning everything about it continued unabated, but for some reason, she would always stop before becoming a true master of any one discipline. Of course, while learning these things she would travel abroad – as her experience grew, she began making forays into realms most mortals only dream of.
Keynlafey has acquired a few items to aid her in her travels. One is the Golirik necklace, crafted by high elves for protection and communication that glows blue when it is protecting the user. The other is her sword Flameheart, enchanted by direction of an efreeti lord by Zoldin, an azer weaponsmith. Zoldin was frustrated by his slave status and purposely tied the blade’s fire power to the purity of one’s heart and desire, such that in the hands of evil the blade is useless. Lord Bravagir had Zoldin whipped and the sword was traded to a mortal – since then it has passed from person to person many times, ending up in Keynlafey’s possession after a harrowing adventure.
Keynlafey is careful to chronicle her adventures, from the places she visits to the people she meets (part of an ongoing series I am publishing that introduces new professions and more to the Dungeon’s & Dragon’s game).
