Kirk walks over to Mr. Sulu and tells him that he (Kirk) and Spock will be beaming down to the surface of Organia, and that Sulu will be in charge of the ship. Uhura is stunned to hear that Kirk and Spock will be beaming down by themselves in such a risky and dangerous situation. Kirk turns around to leave and says, "Mr. Spock, let's you and I pay the Organians a visit." Uhura jumps to her feet, worried for the safety of her Captain and First Officer, but Kirk is resolute. He hands Uhura his tricorder and heads to the turbolift.
