Description
The results of the foal inspection were in, along with the veterinarian's recommendations on who should stay and who should go. Mason Hollow didn't always follow those recommendations, but Ashley knew her father's decision was always heavily influenced by it. For the week following the arrival of the information, she fretted about in a frantic effort to remain calm. That effort only made her even more on edge. She had become awfully attached to little Zephyr, and was dreading any possibility that the little filly was leaving her.

Thankfully, a couple of days later, her father announced his decision. Zephyr was staying. She was the only weanling he had decided to keep.

The rest of the youngsters would be registered for auction. Any not sold, however, would be coming back to Hollowbrooke. Her father was a businessman, and often difficult to deal with, however he was well above sending a horse to a horrid fate, especially young foals. Those not sold would simply come back and be re-entered into another auction after some growing and training.

Now, it was time to wean the foals.

((Here, we have little Zephyr weaned and watching her mother Kinley. The fog was thick that morning, and her mother could just barely be seen in the neighboring paddock.))

We will be having a weanling sale for those who are not being kept at Hollowbrooke!
