My first picture of the year. It seems this holiday I got myself stuck on this anime. This is my second time watching the Brigadoon series but the first time around I refused to let myself go on a fangirl rampage. That and I prolly couldn't draw Melan to save my life at the time cuz he is not easy to draw.

Brigadoon is a rare gem of an anime, imo. What you have here is a sci-fy bizarro fairytale thing going on so Brigadoon can't really be classified in any category. There's a little something for everybody all wrapped up in it: action, comedy, drama--and the best part is deep within all the randomness and chaos is a beautiful love story! To me, it seems directed towards girls because of all the serious feels you will cop, but with all the fighting and buckets of blood and really gruesome scenes I don't see why guys wouldn't like it too. I will admit it takes a while to get used to the music and art style but you get so distracted trying to figure out wtf is going on, you don't notice it too much.

As for the picture, you know me, I like my shit to look like crap lmao. I dunno what it is with me and sketchy drawings. I just like the flavor of them for some reason, but, anyway, my main focus was on the colors anyway. Been trying to work on my colors so much lately. Getting the hang of saturation and value and the relativity between the colors. Its been a frustrating trip but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. The sketch was done in mspaint, the colors and bg in pse1.0.
