Amazing work here, the "teeth/spikes" are a great little touch that really reaffirms the title.

a liiiiiiitle bit?! Surely you have a gift for understatement. Fact, you should find out how to get n touch with Syd Mead. Think he's like 73 or 74 now. Still working (now that's when you love what the hell you do). With your skills, maybe he can put you onto something (not that you're not already making good at the art biz. I hope you are, but who knows. Might get to work with the legend).
just an idea.

whooo, haha, what an idea! Getting in touch with Syd sure would be awesome...
Actually, someone did an interview with Syd just recently and asked artists to think of questions to put in an interview. And luckily one of my questions was chosen and Syd answered! See here: [link]
And yes, I am already working on some really cool freelance projects...

That's awe-sum! Which is your question? Seems like I like the same stuff as Syd Mead. Croquil pens (lost mine in Hurricane Katrina) and prismacolor! Cool!

Lived in New Orleans. My entire family moved to Dallas, Texas where my brother and his wife & kids have been for 8 years now. I miss the old town (I miss the fine women there more than anything). Harder to find models in this Republican town.
But life is good. All of my friends survived, even the ones that decided to ride out the monster storm. We are all very fortunate to still be alive (I was going to stay, but decided to leave at the last minute). As I arrived in Texas, the storm was moving through town. Starting over at my age is not easy, but it's working out pretty well so far.
All in all, life is good. Now if I could just start drawing again...

Jeez, so actually it hit you pretty hard, huh?
I bare with you! That's quite a story I must say!
How old are you if I may ask?
yeah, glad everything's fine for you now!

Compared to you, I'm an old man; 41 as of 11/02. What's that; probably twicw your age?
Starting a new life is not the adventure I wanted (unless it meant winning the lottery or something).
But like I said; life is good. Two of buddies on DA from New Orleans ( and ) are actually doing better in their art than if they were back at home. The guys I count as friends are all survivors and overcomers. We'll all be ok.

Great to hear all that about your friends!
Wish you all the best!

That's me, an old man with the same dreams he had when he was 17. Thus, 17 Dreams. The Avatar is a drawing of a character based on me. I'm much less ferocious (at least that's my perception of me).
Funny how life changes you on the exterior; my fighting skills have gone rusty, my belly is smoothed out and swollen and there are pains great and small that have been 20 years in the making. But in the inside, I'm still the same. I still just want to spend my days hunched over the drawing table cranking out some of the old ultra violet (as they used to say).
Anyways, too young to retire but too old to just hit the reset button, move in with the folks for a year while I put together a killer portfolio.
Something will give though. ...because I never quit! Never.

Yeah, I feel I gonna be just like you. Old on the outside, but having all my childhood dreams still inside me
Great to hear that little story about yourself

Every man has the smallest boy within him. As we get older, we remain ourselves. Ideas may change, motives may change, goals my change; but our hopes always remain the same.
We hope that life will be good, that we are surrounded by folks who are good to us, and that we in turn have mattered to someone that we love. Everything else (beautiful wife, beautiful house, beautiful car, dream career) is bonus.

First of all Im quite amazed and pleased to know that u can finish up some thing like this in 2 hours. Man ur 'flash'. So ur talented and no two words about it. Maybe its expericen too ha.
The perspective of this art is just wonderful. U have done what a photographer would do with a panorama image. The colors added very carefully and the highlights are really nice to see. Adding up those human figures are very thoughtful and it gives an idea of how big and majestic this place is.
Very well done indeed.

the wide-angle view is astounding--there's a great sense of depth & distance in this. The lighting of the sky & the upper portion of the tower is sublime. Love it!
