My very first (and only) pony character, Ember! I have an entire storyline I could share, but it would take multiple posts. The last slide is her original design, as a unicorn (I couldn’t draw wings yet lol).

Essentially, she lived was orphaned and taken in by a Crystal Pony family. When Sombra was banished back to the mountains, she went with her adoptive family.

In my storyline, King Sombra is good and leads his kingdom well. But, in the insides of the mountains the empire is closed off from the rest of the world.

Ember’s family is a family of forgers and her wings are used to cool and power the forge. Because Crystal ponies do not have wings, Ember did not know how to fly.

Eventually, Equestria found Sombra’s kingdom and declared war, hoping to ‘liberate’ the Crystal Ponies.

There was a draft and Ember was called. It was there, during boot camp, where she figured out the basics of flight after having to jump down a platform. Though she is not a strong flyer, her strength from working in the forge helped her rise to the top of her training group.
