"Oh, my," Lara thought as she finally remembered what she struggled to recall for hours after she left the manor,  "I seem to have forgotten my gear.  This will not do.  And of all things, I forgot my comms gear.  I'll never be able to call the boys, and once the learn what's happened, I'll never be able to live it down."

Then she had an idea!

"At least I remembered to bring my camera!  I'll just take this sexy 'Oh, my, I forgot my gear' pose, and that ought to at least distract them a bit."
