After what felt like an eternity of mindless driving Max and Co finally arrive at her parent’s home in Seattle. Chloe nudges Max and taps Kate’s shoulder to wake and proceeds to exit the vehicle, holding the door open for the two of them.
“M'lady” Chloe says with a cheeky smile on her face.
Kate giggles while Max’s lets out a nervous chuckle, prompting Chloe and Kate to ask her what was wrong. Max explain how she had no idea what to even say to her parents about everything that happened during that fateful week, hell she didn’t even know how to even BEGIN, and her previous short and dismissive answers weren’t going to cut it. Chloe and Kate looked at each other before Chloe answered.
“Just be honest with them, if they’re still as goofy and caring as I remember them being they’ll just be happy you’re alive.”
she paused a moment.
“Might wanna leave out the part about your powers though …”
Max smiled, she was still nervous, but at the very least she felt more confident …
Max and Co finally make it to Seattle … to the Caulfield household …
