With my bewilderment put aside, I am in love with the sheer detail and expression in this picture. The placement of the two characters make it clear that they are a close team of sorts...the design of their spears are pretty unique, too.
I'm guessing that this comes from a Chinese online game that features Dynasty Warriors costumes. The DW series are quite popular in China, and there is even a Chinese version of its spinoff, Warriors Orochi. I guess that's why this image caught my attention right away, because I am a HUGE fan of DW and Liu Bei. LOLz...
