Awwwwwwwwwww.I really like my coloring this time around.
She's reading a report, he's reading a paper- they're soooo cute.
I'm still in denial about the whole 'dead in the books' thing.
Eff that.

Awwwww, LOVE!!! What a lovely idea, I can totally see them doing this.
And yes, eff that they're dead. -indignant sniff- "Dead? What are you talking about, they aren't dead."

I love how they both contrast each other, like their chairs and how they sit, what they are drinking and where they keep it. It is a perfect piece of Lupin and Tonks! I am still in denial about their deaths too...

Like your Tonks and how she takes her shoes off but Lupin doesn't.
Lupin should be a bit older-looking though. Perhaps some gray fringe to his hair?

Given your thoughts on Lupin and Tonks, you might like this story I co-wrote.
I'm considering drawing Lupin from the story and posting it here, like I did the "less Gothy Snape" from my other HP story, "The Wrath of the Half-Blood Prince."

Of course you may.
I did this in Gimp- which is a free painting program that is almost identical to photoshop/paintshoppro.
First I scan in the pic and dally a bit with the contrast to make the sketch look good.
In this program I use many many layers for color.
First I set the sketch's layer mode to 'Multiply'- this basically makes it see through, so any colors I do underneath will shine through.
I am lazy, so I tend to do lots of things on separate layers (like on one layer I color the chairs, on another I do each person, on another the window etc.) I also like to use the 'free select tool' which looks like a lasso- this makes it where you can, line by line, select an area to fill with color.
I added some textures to this.
To add textures you just put the texture on its own layer, and set it to multiply. Then you can fiddle with the layer's opacity (how see through it is.)
I also
These layers are ALL underneath the sketch layer.
ABOVE the sketch layer I also have some layers.
I have a layer whose layer mode is set to 'color.'
This kind of layer mode makes you able to color the lines of the drawing- versus just having the color underneath the seethrough grey pencil lines.
I also did some lazy shadows- for that I used the paintbrush tool- selected a greyish purple color- set the brush at a lower opacity (so it's more see through)- and then put in the shadows. I also used the blending tool a bit to make the shadows more fuzzy and less harsh.
I also added a border or two on the very top.
Hope that all made sense.

I don't paint with the pencil tool. I also don't use a special brush. I just use the usual round one

Aww... They're so cute here. I love the warmth of the color and the different expressions. The way you've used the decor to represent the characters almost reminds me of UP. This is such a sweet picture. Great work.
