Here is Astra, in her Enchantix form. Upon earning her enchantix, she becomes the Guardian Fairy of the Dream Realm.
How does she earns it?

The planet of Selene has always been watching over a peculiar dimension, a realm we all enter in spirit when we sleep: the Dream Realm. Entering it spiritually is harmless; your dreams guide you through it, led by your memories, your feelings, your desires...and you exit it upon waking. Your body hasn't moved from its spot in your bed. It is of the utmost importance Dream and Reality are kept separate, for if suddenly everything everyone imagined became real...chaos would ensue. Those who thirst for revenge but do not have the power to would suddenly wreak havoc on their enemies, those who want to watch the world burn would just have to sit and watch the blaze. The Dream Realm must not bleed into Reality, and the monarchs of Selene have always protected the gates so the two dimensions would never meet.
For it IS possible to physically enter the Dream Realm. And the knowledge you can gain from there is infinite...but so are the risks. Should you enter someone's dream and stay inside when they wake, your consciousness would remain forever trapped within their minds, mute, deaf and powerless. And if you do not hold onto your consciousness, the link between your body and your mind, the Dream Realm weakens it until it breaks, leading to the mind slowly fading into nothingness, until nothing remains. Few in History have gone physically into the Dream Realm; fewer have emerged, though its power has attracted many fools who lost themselves into its mysterious depths.

Unfortunately for everyone, Onyx, the crown prince, was one.

Studying intimately the power of Darkness which birthed their planet, Onyx sought to understand the Dream Realm more -but the monarchs forbade him to try and physically enter there Realm, knowing he would never make it out alive. And if he could not to go to the Realm, then the Realm would go to him. Blinded by his anger and thirst for knowledge, unable to take the sacred key to the gates, Onyx broke the seal keeping the sacred gates closed, and allowed the Dream Realm to seep into Reality. Without surprise, he was quickly submerged by the sheer power of this new dimension and was sucked inside to slowly fade away. The news quickly reached the Crown, and Queen Nyx, the witch with the strongest connection to the Dream Realm, erected a barrier to contain it. They dispatched teams upon teams of fairies and witches to try and close the gates, unsuccessfully.
When every seal they knew failed, they eventually had to acknowledge closing the gates from the inside was their only hope. Someone had to go inside and seal it...forever trapping themselves inside. But only someone with a strong connection to the Realm would succeed in navigating the Dream Realm to close the Gates. Which narrowed their options to four people: Onyx, trapped inside the Realm already, perhaps already faded; Nyx, the ruling Queen, currently the only person standing in the Realm's way of swallowing Reality; Spea, the monarchs' eldest daughter, whose frail body kept her far too weak to be of any help...and Astra.

The young fairy spared a single tear and a last glance at her mother's suddenly disbelieving and terrified face before stepping forwards into the chaotic realm. She flew forwards with only a single thought in mind: protecting her realm, her family, her friends...knowing she would never see them again, and welcoming death with a terrified, but steady mind. On the way, she found Onyx, motionless and kept whole by his guilt and pain, though hardly lucid. Astra did not think twice before sending him back to Reality through the Gates, saving his life and enabling him to regain his wits, though too late. When she found the Gates, Astra sealed them off with her magic, her pain and her tears, giving herself entirely to her spell and ensuring the Gates would never be reopened by a fool who should have known better. And when the storm died down, when the rift closed and the two realms returned to normal, Astra fell to her knees and allowed her mind to drift and scatter, knowing it would be less painful to let go now than wait years and years and years, seeing her memories disappear one by one, slowly losing herself and forgetting even her reason for being inside.

But it is when her last tear fell and her eyes closed that she was suddenly engulfed in warmth and light, by a power so familiar it hurt to welcome her. It restored her consciousness, her very self, gave her power she couldn't have imagined -and giving her the ability to travel safely between Dream and Reality, as its sacred guardian. But she did not escape the ordeal unscathed.
As the Guardian of the Dream Realm, a part of her always remains inside this realm she guards. This leads her to lose a lot of her focus, and some of her innocence too; Astra suddenly becomes more mature, more serious. She doesn't laugh or smile as often as she once did, feeling all too keenly the weight which has been placed on her shoulders. She learns to live with it.

Her new powers include fairy dust, dream manipulation, mind-control (when in the Dream Realm), being able to connect and speak to anyone currently sleeping, forcefully waking people up (this does bring a smile to her face when she finds out) and bringing people with her in the Dream Realm, as its guardian and Gate.

Onyx flees when he sees his sister is safe, deeply ashamed. He spends the next few years atoning for his sins on other planets, not daring to speak with his parents or anyone he knows, for he cannot bear the guilt of what he has done. Astra manages to corner him every once in a while when he sleeps, and he keeps apologizing and promising he will return when he feels he has done enough good to repay what he has done.

They both bear scars, and surprisingly, this whole mess enables them to become much closer than before.
