Same here. I want to start with the new series though. I know if I watch the old one first, there's no way I could not poke at it or giggle at the campiness. :V

They probably already use it, the 211V Plasma Cutter System is a pretty common power tool that is applicable in many industrial environments. Welding, mining, maintenance, repairs, and even smelting.

Ahh. It's likely a tool that even Imperial Civvies can own... Definitely for the Military for spot repairs to tanks and walkers.

Now I'm picturing a Tech-Priest with one of these attached to a Servo-Arm.
