Inspired by a comment. These photos are me, as I am, in my every day street clothes. Anything in these photos are on me or in my car every day. This is me, the Uncarved Block, simple and real.

The other book I carry with me at all times is "The Best of H.P. Lovecraft". The man was a master of the English language, able to almost physically covey a "fetid odour" with his grand vocabulary. He was the inventor of modern Horror, copied again and again over the century, and the only storyteller who has ever given me nightmares. He is so much more than Cthulhu. My favorite work, the heart-stopping "The Picture in the House", is only a potent two pages long.
