*nod* actually it's not a natural lake and actually it a pond ( i had to look up the word^^) and was built at the same time the houses here were built. The pond has to be cleaned every few years and when we cleaned it some years ago we discovered the eels and one of them stayed in our bath, but it was a small one, the bigger ones are more than one and a half meter long o.O

the small eels are kind of cute but the bigger ones scare me 0_o they just stare...
ohh...koi, okay, i thought i knew what you where talking about but i wasn't sure. now that i see a picture i know. koi are very pretty fish
