Description

Welcome to the Pokemon Basic Modding Guide.

Here we hope to give you a better picture on just how much variation you may put into your Pokemon!

Dye Kit
"Add a bit of color to your Pokemon's day with this dandy dye kit!"
Allows members to change the color of a Pokemon in one, monochromatic palette. This color must be one similar hue. Accent colors in white/black are permitted, but must not exceed 25%. One additional hue may be added with the use of an additional Dye Kit. This additional hue must not exceed 25%.

Pattern Stamp
"Stamp on a new style and go to town!"
Allows members to edit existing patterns on a Pokemon, or add new ones. This pattern must not exceed 25% of the Pokemon's body. Members may not exceed 50% with the use of an additional Pattern Stamp.

Wizard's Lens
"Did your Pokemon always have these?"
Allows members to slightly edit a Pokemon's physique or add small new changes (ex. additional tails, head/limb/ornament shape morphing, etc.). One additional change may be added with the use of an additional Wizard's Lens.

**Can combine only TWO of any basic modding items on a Pokemon.
Example: 1 Dye Kit & 1 Pattern Stamp

**Further alterations requires the use of a Modify Stone.

Modify Stone
Allows several changes at once without stricter limits! Alters your Pokemon's color, add patterns, change their anatomy, and more! There is, of course, a threshold to how much a Pokemon is changed with the use of one. So, be sure to check your design with the mods first through a note.

Exceptions:

Not everything needs to be modded to express your Pokemon's invididuality. Here are the exceptions to the rules.

Held Items:

Some Pokémon hold items, such as a Cubone holds a bone club or a Farfetch’d holds a leek. But can they hold other items as well? The answer is yes!... to an extent. The item they hold should be similar. A Fennekin usually holds a stick wand, but it could hold a star wand instead. Timburr could hold logs instead of metal beams.

Eye Color:

Much like how characters can have different eye colors, so do Pokemon! They can have blue eyes, red eyes, green, and more! Of course, there are limitations. Special colors such as gradient eyes, pattern pupils, multi-colors (heterochromia), and other traits that do not match the Pokemon's normal eyes will require an item.

Realism:
Some people like to make the Pokemon more realistic.
Perhaps they don't want their Miltank on two legs, and would rather it resemble their real world counterpart. Perhaps they enjoy exploring just how the Pokemon might look if it were actually walking before their very eyes?

This is something perfectly alright in the group! So long as it remains recognizable as the Pokemon and it stays within the one-variation rule.

Sometimes it is best to note the group if you are unsure your realistic representation is going too far. But if you are confident you can submit the Pokemon to the group. If it trips the mods up and confuses us at first, we may contact you to make some slight alterations and work along side you to make it fit to the group. However, if it is accepted, then you know that everything is okay!
