In the early stages of Basilius' reign, the small pack was accepted back into the Banes as their history had practically been erased, and they were suffering terribly from the disease outbreak. This group included Xamira, who is a cousin to Anais. She never knew her father, and during this transition, she lost contact with her immediate family (her mother and siblings.) Growing up as an 'accepted' outsider within the Starry Banes, Anais and her cousin Xamira were widely feared by the other pups at the time. The two tended to be a bit darker-minded and prideful, but they were in no way evil. But they stuck together, despite Xamira training to become a warrior, and Anais training to become a healer. Anais fell into a small fling-like interaction with a male in the Banes, and ended up pregnant. They hadn't made their mateship official, so this has and forever will be one of Anais' darkest secrets. Early on in her pregnancy, she discovered her brother Rhysand's and her mother Sinix' corpses just outside the Banes' territory. This sparked her curiosity, as she was old enough to realize they hadn't died from disease. This prompted Anais to investigate further, calling upon one of her Bane friends, Veraura-Atia, someone who knew the rich history of the land to a tee. When Veraura told her about the banishment of her past 'pack' in the outlands, she put two and two together, and realized that her family's deaths and mistreatment was the result of a generations-old feud between the great Selmos and the great Britdia. Knowing the long-buried secrets of the Banes (especially that rightfully, her family name should be in control of the pack), Anais banded together (or tried to) with Veraura to try and overthrow the current ruler, Basilius. On this day, there was lots of fighting that broke out among the valley, and it left her at a loss. She was stripped of her name, and tossed out of the Banes after being beaten by Basilius and in critical condition. She delivered stillborn pups, and ran as far away into the out-lands of Losillsle as she could, and she has been there since, plotting her big return... ☽Personality Strengths: Anais is Resilient.
