Description
Often I've wondered whether megalodon (Otodus, or Carcharocles or whatever you want to call it) wouldn´t have often been escorted by smaller sharks, ready to feed on its scraps and also saving energy by swimming on the larger fish' wake.
And yes, I've uploaded this doodle three times now, but hopefully every time is a little better and more menacing

Megaladon
Every now and again, people find half a whale on a beach, and that raises the question, what happened to the other half?

Are these Great Whites swimming beside Otodus? Ironic considering that Great Whites possibly were one of the reasons Megalodon went extinct.
But yeah, like with modern big sea animals, smaller ones swim alongside bigger brethren to save energy and to eat some of leftovers. Megalodon's body was an ecosystem on it's own.

Ho I don't want to be this guy's place.
But hey, so far he has survived many sea monsters that I am convinced he will get by.

Its eyes look like that because it's being bitey. When biting, sharks will protect their eyes by covering them with a special eyelid, the nictitating membrane, or, in species that lack this membrane, by rolling them back into their sockets. This is what I tried to portray. If you saw the earlier version of the drawing, the eyes did not look like this because the shark was in a more neutral, passive mode.
That being said, the animal WAS a monster, size-wise, and this series is called Diving with Sea Monsters To me, a monster is not something ugly or to be despised, but something that frightens and inspires awe due to its size, power and majesty, and megalodon would've definitely fit that description.
