James and John, Paul and Stuart, just like every gay man/woman/couple out there face this kind of abuse every day. I know. I've suffered it.
There's me thinking that two people in love is a beautiful thing, how could it be evil?

There y'all go... Sorry it took Paul and Stu so long to 'get involved' but I was hoping it would be an epic moment, and it needed some dramatic significance. While they're lost in each other's embrace, someone is plotting their downfall.

Maybe being homosexual is wrong, I was taught it was, but lately I've been thinking that if there's so many that naturally feel this way, and God made us all, than what should it matter what sex we love? How would I feel if I couldn't walk down the street with my husband with my hand in his or not be able to hug and kiss him in public? That would be awful.
Anyway, hope the aunt dies painfully and Petunia jumps off or finds her lesbian equal.

This is so amazing, I don't even have the right words for it, but I'll try.
I experience so much homophobia in my life and just general hate because of who I am, and it hurts. For a very long before I fully recognized who I really am, I felt a lot of this kind of loathing... toward myself.
It's so painful, this brings back so many memories. Thanks so much for this.

This is for all the people out there who have felt/do feel this way. I've been there myself. I still am sometimes. It's there to give people the message that this IS normal, that people out there who think like this are the evil ones. Falling in love can never be a bad thing. Who cares if it's a man or a woman? All that matters is that you give them your heart and they keep it safe for you, and hopefully give you theirs to hold in return.

Yeah, this is really for those people who find themselves unable to be so brave, or who live in countries where homosexuality is still considered a crime. So they know that they aren't alone, and it's not all those things that people say it is.

stumbled upon this page while browsing the front page and I'm glad I did. It's a real sweet story so far, I'm happy to see that you've put it out there and I'm looking forward to how it's going to continue. Artwise, I like your variety. People have a tendency to focus on specific kinds of poses or angles, abandoning creativity and variation in favour of what's comfortable. Also, you manage to make different kinds of bodies and characters, too. That's not that easy.
May I suggest something, though? That you might slow the pacing of the story down, just a notch. The longer it takes, the longer you stay with the emotions and then your readers get to know the characters more and thereby feel more what the characters are feeling. Just a suggestion, though.

Thanks for this, I really enjoy getting constructive feedback. I'm glad you like the direction my art is going. I do make a conscious effort to make every panel as different as I can from those that have appeared on the same page, not just for interesting pages but also to keep myself interested. (I get bored easily).
I see why you've suggested I slow down, but there is a LOT more to come... I've not even begun to really scrape the top of the iceberg (hint) so to speak as of yet. We're only on day/night one of the voyage so far, and there's so much more I'm going to do with this.

I read the speech bubbles, and I wish to congratulate you. You took the time to speak on the abuse of gay couples, and I applaud you a thousand times over. The first speech bubble made me laugh, as so many people (including the people closest to me) share the enraged woman's feelings.

I thought that even though a lot of this story is comic and a lot of it is just two gay boys falling in love, that real issues should be addressed at some point. And it seemed appropriate when they actually declared that they like each other.

Well, funnily enough, they are on a ship called Titanic but this one is a new ocean liner that was comissioned to mark the centenary of the original. So, technically, this is a few years in the future. This kind of abuse happens every day even in this time we live in now. One of my friends a couple of months ago was beaten so badly he was hospitalised just because he's gay. There's a stigma still attached to it, and I think that it should be put out there that while people 'fangirl' and 'fanboy' about yaoi, the real people that live these boy on boy lives face this kind of discrimination every day. And in this kind of comic that gets published, these sides are rarely explored.
But yeah, this level of hatred does still exist, though of course it is much less concentrated than this. Generally most people who think this way keep it to themselves, but there's always going to be the odd one who are outspoken.

It's a shame about homophobia, but I find more people are tolerant towards gays than blacks or asians (It might just be where I live).

It's the opposite where I am. Gay men get far more abuse than people with differing ethnic backgrounds that is apparent through their skin colour. It's a shame any kind of abuse has to exist really.
