Being domesticated lifted the pressure to metamorphose. Some remain in a half adult stage, with mostly caterpillar features but also the adult stage's wings and claws. the size of those greatly varies. While friendly to their owners, they will attack smaller animals, sink their claws in and feed on the blood. luckily, they're only the size of a cat.
