Description Cancer, the wonderful moon sign

The feather fans represent the claws of the crab

Tools-watercolor,ink and some tinted graphite pencils, soft pastels and PS

The colors are a lot smoother in reality, but I'm not going to start complaining about scanners, since most of you already know I hate them, lol.

So the next zodiac will be.....a surprise! haha

So this pic is really done monstly by traditional art? If so, may I ask what kind of paper did you use? I just cant seem to find that kind of paper whats pattern wont show on pics and where I can use watercolours... I would love to know what kind you are using!

HollowPixie In reply to Si3art [2009-10-05 12:29:57 +0000 UTC]

Yes it's all done traditionally and adjusted curves and saturation in ps (and some dots here and there).
I know exactly what you mean with the paper. The brand I used for this one is SCHOELLERSHAMMER DA CAPO,220g, Here is a link so you can see what it looks like [link]
I like using it on drawings when I don't want that much texture, it has a pretty smooth surface. Hope that helped

NOOO!! Why there aint any good art suplies in my country?? WHY?!! Uhh yeah... Its just too small and so unimportant... sooo it doesnt need any qualty art stuff... NOO.. no.. no. I can never do so brilliant picture perfect drawings just cuz I cant buy the nessesary art stuff... Not that I couldnt afford them, There even isnt that in specific art shops!

Ahh.. Yeah that did help. I finally realized I will never be abel to draw like you cuz in lack of supplies...

That's not entirely true. You don't need incredible supplies to create a beautiful piece of art. If you put your mind to it, you can draw a beautiful drawing with just a pencil stub and piece of scrap paper. Trust me, I've seen it done before.

Gorgeous! D8 Great job on the details here, and the woman is excellently proportioned. Lovin' the pose and her expression, the soft lighting gives this surreal feel to it, and the background is simply wonderful ; I'm especially diggin' that moon. xD

As always, breathtaking job! 8D You inspire me to work harder on my colorings. ^^
