hmm, looks decent, confusing as heck tho.
a number/name interface would do it good. or a thumbnail flicker icon above each selection hover. watch you number of effects, lower end machines may night run this smoothely.

pretty cool, a little confusing at first but I figured it out without much effort - though many might not, could use a hovering a effect when over an object that does something (i.e it took some guessing but I dig it).
