Description
this is the fourth in my static fluid series. i am pleased with this one overall, with the exception of the fact that the drops falling are not entirely sharp. but, i think the ridges of the crater and its overall clarity make up for this. comments are good, and well appreciated. enjoy.details:
hardware: sony dsc-f707 digicam; spot metering; 1/1000" shutter; f2.0; ev +0.3.
software: photoshop 7.0 - adjusted levels and contrast to a mild degree.

A most wonderful capture. I adore this. You are most skilled at capturing the simplistic beauty of nature.

Very beautiful image. Not only is the image composition great as the point of impact is not centered, but the lighting is as good as it can be to accent the edges of the crater. In addition, the speed of the image is perfect, capturing the frozen motion of the water. I would love to know what camera/film, you used. Good work!

Wow....the blue tones are amazing! The texture in the water looks as if it's brushed steel, and the droplets and coresponding ring are amazing...

What are you using as a light source? It gives the water an errie self-luminous look.

Very, very nice... beside of the water itself i especially like those light-reflections.
Hehe... btw, i did something very similar just some days ago and i also called that photo "Impact" (but never posted it on deviantART, because i was not really sadisified with the quality). Oh... and if you like water-photos you might check out my "Frozen Reality" series too.

When i saw your photo i was thinking about the shutter speed you used to take it. I wanna try to take some "fluids" pics and your information about this one will help me to experiment in this field.
Nice photo and AMAZING crater!! I like very much the shape it takes
