The first thing it made me think of was a Daring Jumping spider, it has pretty much the same color scheme and its legs kind of curl like that. I was afraid this was some kind of crazy flying spider fish hybrid. Never heard of a tree hopper before -- i googled them and they're crazy! Thanks for enlightening me.
And also, very lovely work, on all of the figures you've posted. There's really something magical about them.
