Description So here's my sad attempt at pattern writing.

It's written for a child's hat but can easier be modified to fit anyone's head.

Get a flexible measuring tape and measure the circumference of your head (let's say 21 inches). With most hat patterns you'd want to shave off an inch or two for stretch but not this one because single crochet is thick and inflexible.

So take that number and divide by pi

21/3.14= 6.68 inches. Just under 6 3/4 inches

As you're increasing according to the pattern, don't stop at "Increase, sc in the next 13 sc". Continue that increasing pattern out until it measures your number when laid flat. In my case, 6 3/4 inches.

Then, measure your head from the top (where your part ends in the back roughly) to where it feels comfortable on your forehead. This is the length. You can knook it all the length, or only do it 14 rows and crochet the rest. Whatever, it's your hat so it's your call.

Happy knooking folks!

ps- don't feel obligated to ask if you can use this pattern for whatever purpose or even credit me. It's a very basic pattern to demonstrate how to go from crochet to knit in a row. I would appreciate it if you let me know if it was helpful to you though.
