HI.please forgive my long absense! its been quite an interesting, busy couple of months.
anyways, i was itching so badly to bring something nice to you all wonderful people.
this piece was initially designed for the theme collection [link] but i really liked its result, i developed it little further and incorperated with Ninja Talkshow concept.
another one of my endless facination towards "sound" depicted in my own vision

hohow! this one kicks really love the feeling of water ondulation reflecting soundwaves. I think it's the small flower behind her head that got my heart. ...just...the microphone that is floating upper left corner seems a bit...useless..dont know if you could explaine

but I want to ask you something tho, like what brushes and such do you use in ps to make it look that paintisch..? I downloaded painter to get that effect but I don't understand that at all..I'm a little bit more experienced with ps, but I have no idea how to use photoshop to make drawings like that...
so if you've got a little time left could you explain me? I'd be very happy 
anyways..I guess I should first buy a wacom..I guess that'll help too..

I really dont know what to say about this, it captures love for music and such so wonderfully, and I can somewhat relate to it. Awesome job with the semi-3D effect, as well as the pose, facial expression, and amount of detail into this.

The idea is much better than the exicution. The rendering stlye is very good, but I think the draftsmanship and the composition could be better.
I'm not convinced about the anatomy of the face, and it is almost completely centered on the page.
If you were trying to focus on the water/fluid dripping from the face and hair, it would have been better if the character was higher on the picture plane.
Of course the inverse would be true if you were trying to bring more attention to the fly and flower.
Also, although you were using a cool palate, a few warm colors on the center of interest would help seperate the background from the foreground, or at least make the face less flat.
