Hm... I think it's not that great, honestly, but let me point why and maybe be of some help.
The curves' got banding, which is shading the pixels in the same length as the contour, causing an undesired blocky effect. Shorten shadows in a "ladder" proportion.
Mouth could use some roundness on the upper border, at least on the huge emoticon, since he's spherical. By now it seems to ignore the face's shape and just float there.
The bottom part is straight on purpose, causing a squashing effect, am I right? In this case, try the rule of thumb for animations: conserve volume. If you squish the bottom, add to the sides, like a balloon of water would distribute it's volume if put over a table.
The shadows do also look a bit square on the bottom, as if the image was cut. Avoid this not only on pixel art, but whenever you're doing a simple item without background; cut shadows makes the image look cropped, therefore conflicting with the desired effect of detachment the invisible background would give otherwise.
