Description It started out as a joke, seriously!

Dean was busy researching one night, waiting for Sam to get back with Dinner and his pie. That's when he saw the ad: Parents can hire a creepy clown to stalk their kids by sending texts, letters, phone calls, you name it for a week before pieing the kid in the face for their birthday. Dean had to do a mental pro and con list before he made his final decision though; but all he came up with was Pros:

  • Sam's a bitch and needs to get over his irrational fear of clowns,

  • it'll be hilarious,

  • he deserves it,

  • if things got to intense he could always call it off,

  • they're currently not on a case, and

  • it'll be hilarious.

The only cons he had were:

  • After Sam finds out, the moose could potentially kick his ass, and

  • Sam could kill the clown guy.

Although, to be honest Dean's only really worried about the second one, but they'll be together the entire time so Dean could stop Sam if the occasion should arise.  So, happy with the final resuslts, he e-mailed the agency one of Sam's many numbers (which they could easily cancel or change), a safe, neutral location, and a general description of the brothers. Of course, nothing could be this simple.

The fun had started and Dean could tell it was already beginning to bug his brother. Sam hadn't actually said anything yet, but his shoulders were perpetually tensed and he kept checking his phone. Dean couldn't help adding some of his own flair, suddenly popping around corners and waking the youngest brother with various loud noises.

It took till Day 5 of the stalking for Sam to actually bring anything up, Dean thought he would pop something between holding in his laughter and keeping a straight face.Thankfully he was able to give what he thought was his best, most reassuring speech about how Sam was freaking out for no reason, followed by a friendly pat on the shoulder and a suggestion to use the magic fingers, before he had to head outside and give his spleen or whatever was dying from not getting enough air a break.

Walking out into the cool summer night helped, until Dean saw something out of the corner of his eye. He glanced around for any innocents standing in the parking lot before thumbing the handle of his knife, going into a crouch as he walked towards the noise. As he came closer to where the sound had come from he found it was Dominic, the creepy clown stalker. . Huffing a sigh of relief, he slipped the knife back into its sheath. The guy looked like he was just on the job so he went back to the hotel room; Sam had seemingly calmed down and taken Dean's advice on the vibrating bed, the older brother couldn't tell if Sam was asleep or not yet so he lightly tucked the sheet around him, stripped his own clothes, turned out the light, and taken to his own Magic Fingers. He smirked as he fell asleep, these things could fix anything.

Although the entire experience was hilarious, Dean was kind of getting sick of waking up with a 6 foot moose in his bed -at least, that's what he would tell anyone if they ever asked. Hell, by now Sammy wasn't even waiting till Dean was asleep before "sneaking" under the covers -not that Sam could really sneak, I mean come on, the guy knocked the alarm clock against the wall every freaking night; Dean thinks Sam knows he's not convincing.

Sam stopped carrying around the phone that he was being harassed with, though Dean didn't think it really mattered anymore since Sam got pied tomorrow. He just has to find a way to get him out of the hotel. Maybe they could go to a nice salad bar...more bar than salad, but something to coax his brother out.

~Today~

Yeah, this had definitely been a bad idea, a moose, plus childhood fears, plus pointy objects equals bad mojo. Dean had actually convinced Sam to come out, after much reassurance and he could hardly wait for Dominic to show up. Despite him being a creepy ass guy he was pretty punctual, actually texting Dean about the time he'd "finish the job" after dinner so he could enjoy his meal. He actually had to abandon the acts of small talk because Sam was so out of it, it took 3 calls of his full name to respond. After dinner they headed out to the parking lot, Dean casually glancing around, acting like he was looking for the car, when Sam had apparently sprinted -or what he would call "speed walked" - to the door, waiting like an anxious kid for the door to be unlocked. Dean of course, being the casual jackass he was, strolled slowly towards the car, taking his sweet time, trying to give creeper-clown as much of an opening as possible; that was, until Sam was tackled someone.
Now the metaphorical shit had hit the metaphorical fan. It was actually kind of frightening, seeing Sam pin a little 5'4" crying guy in a latex mask, with a knife to his throat, a wild tint in his eyes. After a lot of struggling and what seemed like a hundred variations of "Sammy you bitch, get off him!" he finally rolled off.
Definitely a bad idea. It took 20 minutes to calm Sam down and to explain everything, needless to say, he was not happy.  But Dean was let off with a good right hook, although he knew this wasn't the end. Plus, he had to spend a lot more money than he originally planned to get Dominic to at least stay quiet for the next couple days.

*****

Sam hadn't said a thing since Dominic left, although he seemed to have fallen asleep. Dean crawled into Sam's bed, curling up as best as he could around him. He knew his brother would get over this whole thing soon enough, Sammy could never stay truly mad at him for long.
