Description Here is Leopardstep and her apprentice, Smokepaw. Dragonstar did a good job of pairing these two up; Smoke is a ex-rogue taken in as a kit, and Leopard is a ShadowClan-born cat that joined ThunderClan when she became an apprentice. Smoke has major insecurities and often doubts his place in the Clan (these thoughts are further encouraged by his bully, Beechpaw) and thus has developed a very cynical and grumpy demeanour that he will carry for the rest of his life. Leopardstep however has unending patience and is quick-witted enough to deal with his constant self degradation. Leopard soon discovers her apprentice has a talent for stealth, so uses this as the basis of his further training. His confidence is low but Leopard slowly encourages and fosters it.

A quick drawing. Colouring is all done with a HB pencil and the (very) messy outline is done with a pen. I didn't colour the eyes as I wanted to keep it greyscale. Smoke is probably a bit too small but I do intend for him to always be a small tom even when fully grown. Any helpful critique would be lovely; I know I really need to work on anatomy, especially around the legs and paws, and shading.

Heya! You seem to understand where you can improve which is good. Like Morwen said, references are LIFE. Even just for size comparison or some general proportions. They don't have to be in the exact positions you want.

I think your bodies are a little too long and your muzzles could use some work as well. It's weird to get these shapes down, though. You'll get there, though! I believe it.

I love it ^^
I like the pencil work in grey scale here as well as the cute pose for them together.

As far as crit, I think you have a pretty good understanding of what you can work on, so there isn't much else to mention. Working from life references seems to help <3
