Noticing his shoe was untied, without a second thought, Oscar bent down to fix his mistake. His blatant disregard for the current situation made him blissfully unaware of his shirt riding up in the back, and his low-cut jeans, sagging from the movement, allowed his cyan lace whale tail to make an unexpected appearance.

Giggles filled the air, as he slowly realized what they were laughing about, the realization sweeping over Oscar like a tidal wave. Standing up quicker than he had ever moved before, he tugged his sweatshirt down and adjusted his pants with a cliché clearing of the throat, acting like nothing was out of the ordinary.

“Was he wearing a thong?” a girl asked, turning to her friend, whose mouth was agape.

“I think the sissy boy was.” she mocked, and both girls laughed. The wave of realization submitted back to the ocean, leaving embarrassment as a remnant of its past destruction. Oscar immediately turned red and turned away from the two laughing girls.

“Don’t be embarrassed, sissy,” the first girl said, stifling a laugh. “Your red face won’t complement that cyan thong!”
