And from there the great harpies plagued the city, untill a brave knigh appeared who could slay them and when he had enough of their corpses he commissioned an armour made of the foul birds' bones, for they were as strong as steel. But mortals should never take for themselves that which is of the dead land, and the armour cursed the knight to change slowly into the rest of the creature it is made of
