Update 2013: I finished making this at the end of last, week just never got around to posting up the update. Anyway this artwork is one of my most successful artworks I have ever made, but I have been wanting to redo this one for sometime now. I have redone everything, which meant because he is much larger in size, I had to make new line art and everything. I have updated the colors, little detail here and there and most noticeable is the hair, which I redid from scratch. I felt it needed to look more like the classic SSJ hairstyle, we all know very well. The old hair which I still like, has one thing though I felt was not right, and that was the arrangement of the bangs and the fact that he was missing one of them. Now I feel this image is now complete and I hope people like the update to him.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So if you are wondering why he does not have his scouter and tail, it's because I made Bardock further in the future, if he had not died. Comparing it to Vegeta, when he went super saiyan for the first time he did not have his scouter and his tail. Bardock would be a stronger fighter, he could now reach the leave of a super saiyan, so there would be no need for the scouter. That’s my reason anyway.
I went with a new pose that I have not seen before, but used the classic Bardock facial expression because it's awesome and totally a Bardock look.
The hair is a little different to Goku's SSJ hair because the base form is a little different too. All hair styles like Goku's are different and if you look at them all you will see what I'm talking about. Even Goten's SSJ hair is different to Goku's hairstyle.
Over all he was hard to make, the armor is a combo of Vegeta's early armor and his modern armor. Also the red arm sleeves were very difficult to make and took a lot of playing around with.
Know for Bardock Father Of Goku TV Special. His headband was original Toma white armband, his hand was covered in blood and while he was holding it, it soaked in red blood.

Awesome, but he probably would still have his tail at least(unless Goku or someone else took it off). So, I guess if he did survive, he would come to earth and meet Goku and become a Z fighter. That's probably why he doesn't need his scouter, he learned how to sense energy from his son.

Thanks, That What I'm Saying. It's Further A Long The Timeline, If He Did Not Die. Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan, Goten And Broly Did Not Have Their Tail When They Were A Super Saiyan. Sayians Evolved They Did Not Need The Great Ape Form Anymore As SSJ Is A Superior Form. Once We Had The Super Saiyan Form The Great Ape Form Was Never Seen Again In Dragonball Z. I Think It Would Look Stupid If Bardock Was The Only One With His Tail In His SSJ Form.

Maybe Because It Would Have Taken To Much Time. Remember How Much Time It Took To Get Goku's Tail Back. Baby Vegeta Was In The Fight With Goku So It Would Have Been Impossible To Do It The Same Way As Goku Did
