Description
Wharf Town might be the biggest and most prosperous city on the surface of Posterra, bar perhaps the exlusive chrome domes of the City of Brass, but even such sprawling metropolis with hundred of thousands of souls with their standing militia and well renown heroes face regular and constant threat of the more ambitious and influential warbands. For the most part, Mayor Whale dealt with them with economical superiority, creating via diplomacy, threats and bribes an air that every warring faction needs Wharf Town as a source of supplies, weapons, tech, medicine... Just about anything needed for them to continue their fights. A peaceful place where clans, growling and gazing daggers at each other, might stil do their businesses in relative peace of the Concord - a law that ensures that any clan that causes violence within the city walls will be banned from itβs trade and markets. It worked. For the most part. For there is a new enemy to threaten the growing city, coming this time from the depths of the sea - it was not the Great Father and his krakens, it was not the elementals, which were constantly appeased. It was the sentient jellyfish, who had enough of the city pollutions but mostly enough of their vessels claiming dominion over the seas far and wide, cutting the waters with their turbulent engines. Jellies for reasons unknown had access to potent technology and advances machinery - their only issue was that their very bodies were suboptimal for guiding the machines which needed neural pathways to function. And since Jellies have no brains... They had to employ other sea creatures as surrogate pilots for their suits and engines to march to an uneasy war with the traitorous surface dwellers and bottom feeders of the Wharf Town.
